According to Milan News, AC Milan have now opened talks with the representatives of Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic in the hope of pulling off a deal.
It’s claimed that Milan are keen to find out whether a move for Jovic is possible this summer, so have got in touch with his entourage ahead of the transfer window.
Jovic is represented by LIAN Sports, who already represent current Milan attacker Ante Rebic, as well as former Milan striker Nikola Kalinic, meaning the Serie A side have history with them.
The report notes that Real are willing to let Jovic go, but only in a loan deal – possibly with no purchase clause included.
Relations between the two sides are strong given the previous deal involving Theo Hernandez, so Milan may hope to pull this move off in a deal that would frustrate Premier League clubs.
90Min reported over the weekend that Arsenal and Newcastle United are in the race to sign Jovic, alongside Everton and West Ham United.

A loan may suit clubs now given the ongoing global pandemic, but having no purchase clause in the future would be a little disappointing.
The Serbian attacker has notched just two goals and two assists for Real, making him a massive disappointment since his £53m move from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.
Maybe a loan move elsewhere will help him get back on track, but Milan may now swoop in to make sure he doesn’t go to the Premier League.
