According to Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are now interested in signing Nottingham Forest target Noah Okafor.
Why AC Milan want Nottingham Forest target
Well, the 22-year-old has made a name for himself at RB Salzburg, following in the footsteps of Erling Haaland, Sadio Mane and others.
Okafor scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists last season, which Swiss news outlet Nau believe attracted interest from Nottingham Forest over the summer.
Steve Cooper was unsuccessful in his pursuit of the Switzerland international, and now, things will surely become even more difficult.
Gazzetta dello Sport believe AC Milan are targeting a new forward as they plan for life after Rafael Leao, with Okafor firmly in their sights.
According to Gianluca di Domenico – Okafor’s agent – those interested in him will have to pay £25m, as he told Radio CRC.

Paolo Maldini – Director of Football for AC Milan – has added the Swiss star to his shortlist after he carried his fine form from last season into the current campaign.
In 12 appearances so far this term, Okafor has impressively scored seven goals, including a vital equaliser in the 1-1 Champions League draw with Chelsea.
Nottingham Forest set to struggle as AC Milan join race
In our view, Nottingham Forest may have already missed their chance to sign Okafor with AC Milan now involved.
The Italian champions can offer the RB Salzburg No.77 the opportunity to continue playing in the Champions League, something Nottingham Forest surely won’t be able to provide for many years.
Strangely, Nottingham Forest may actually be able to compete with AC Milan from a financial aspect given the lucrative Premier League TV deal, although competitively, they simply do not compare.
AC Milan can provide Okafor with a strong chance of silverware, so in our view, we can’t see how Nottingham Forest fend AC Milan off in this transfer battle, unless they offer the forward an incredible personal terms package.
