Leeds United will surely be in the market for a new midfielder this summer; it’s the area that needs strengthening the most at Elland Road.

Victor Orta needs to find a midfielder who can play as a box-to-box midfielder and also drop into a holding role when needed, with a couple of names already linked.
One of them is Italian ace Tommaso Pobega, who is currently on loan at Spezia from AC Milan having emerged through the San Siro ranks.
Pobega, 21, has recorded three goals and two assists in 14 games for Spezia this season, which means he is now attracting interest.
He ticks the boxes Leeds are seeking; he’s comfortable dictating play in from of defence or moving box-to-box, but Milan don’t seem keen to let him go.
Tuttosport report that Spezia can sign Pobega permanently, but Milan can then instantly take him back in one of those bizarre Italian transfer situations you often hear about.
They add that nobody at Milan wants Pobega to leave, fearing that he would become another Manuel Locatelli if he is allowed to go permanently.
Locatelli has become a star at Sassuolo and is now likely to be far beyond Milan’s budget if they wanted to bring him back, meaning they don’t want to suffer the same fate with Pobega.
Leeds face competition from Leicester City and Eintracht Frankfurt, but it seems that Milan don’t particularly plan to let Pobega go at all this summer – once they get him back from Spezia anyway.
