According to Milan Live, Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita could become a top AC Milan target once Ralf Rangnick’s move to the club is confirmed.
Milan are chasing a deal to lure Rangnick back into management. The German currently serves as head of of sport and development for Red Bull, and has been associated with RB Leipzig since 2012.
Rangnick has flitted between being a sporting director and being a manager, but Sport Mediaset claim that he is now set to hold both roles once his move to Milan is confirmed.
Rangnick will therefore have full control over transfers, and these new reports claim that he may be interested in reuniting with Naby Keita.
Keita was signed by Rangnick at Red Bull Salzburg and was heavily involved at RB Leipzig when Keita’s 2016 move there was announced.
The Guinean joined Liverpool for £52.75million in 2018, but has yet to really justify his price tag. There have been glimmers of his quality, but consistency has evaded him so far.

This report states that Liverpool may be willing to sell him or loan him out with a view to a permanent move, and Milan could be interested if Rangnick joins them, whilst Liverpool allegedly want Wolves star Ruben Neves as his replacement.
Jurgen Klopp did praise Keita as ‘brilliant’ in February, so it would be a surprise to see him axed just months later – especially with barely any football played between then and now.
Yet the chance to work with Rangnick could be appealing to Keita, so the 25-year-old may face a tricky decision if Milan do come in with a bid this summer.
