Aberdeen have already announced the signing of Celtic captain Scott Brown, and now they want to sign a Bhoys target too.
The Daily Record claim that Aberdeen are showing a ‘strong interest’ in signing Motherwell defender Declan Gallagher.
It’s stated that the centre back is still planning to wait until the end of the season to make a decision on his future despite being able to sign a pre-contract agreement.
Gallagher, 30, has impressed for club and country in recent times, and clubs are no doubt circling with his contract set to expire.
Gallagher may have the chance to join Brown at Pittodrie next season, but Celtic also appear to be in the race for the experienced defender.
The Daily Record reported in January that Celtic are keen, and Gallagher wants a ‘dream move’ to Parkhead.

TEAMtalk claimed last month that Gallagher’s head has been turned by Celtic’s interest having previously spent time with the Bhoys as a kid.
Celtic’s plans are up in the air with no director of football or head coach in place, so whether or not they actually move for Gallagher remains to be seen with Aberdeen now looking to swoop in.
