There are no plans for Tottenham Hotspur misfit Juan Foyth to return to Argentina this summer but, according to TYC Sports, a move to Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United is a possibility.

A £9 million centre-half is far from the only Albiceleste ace to be linked with a move to Elland Road in recent weeks.

Emi Buendia, Lucas Martinez Quarta, Matias Zaracho and 6ft 2ins targetman Adolfo Gaich have all been tipped to join up with compatriot Bielsa in West Yorkshire, alongside Foyth.

And with Foyth crying out for a fresh start after spending the entire season out of the first-team picture at Spurs, you would think the ten-time Argentina international would jump at such an opportunity, with Leeds just one point away from securing a long-awaited Premier League return.

TYC Sports claims that Leeds are mulling over moves for both Foyth and River Plate colossus Martinez Quarta, with a pair of technically gifted centre-halves perhaps lined up to replace Ben White in Bielsa’s starting XI.

However, given that White is perhaps the club’s finest centre-half since a fresh-faced Rio Ferdinand, this may be easier said than done.

It remains to be seen which of the two Leeds prioritise though, one thing is for sure, Leeds will not be facing competition from Boca Juniors for Foyth’s signature.

TYC claims that the 22-year-old would not even entertain the idea of returning to South America with his tail between his legs.

This is despite the remarkable successes enjoyed by the likes of Gerson and Gabriel Barbosa since they made an emotional homecoming with Flamengo in Brazil, winning the Copa Libertadores in 2019 as part of a remarkable treble-winning campaign.
