Arsenal may not find out whether Philippe Coutinho will join them until the end of August, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Foot Mercato claim that Arsenal have opened talks with Barcelona for Coutinho this week, with Matteo Guendouzi potentially being used in a swap deal.
However, it seems that the Brazilian isn’t focusing on his future just yet.
Coutinho apparently wants to finish the season, before making his mind up about which club he joins next.
That means that Arsenal could face an anxious wait to find out whether they will be able to persuade the £80 million-rated playmaker (Mundo Deportivo) to come to the Emirates Stadium.
Bayern, where Coutinho is currently on loan, are still going strongly in the Champions League – with the final of the competition not set to be played until the 23rd August.

If the Bundesliga champions do progress that far, Coutinho is reportedly set to keep Arsenal in the dark over finding out whether their pursuit of him has been a success.
Coutinho would certainly make an appealing addition for the Gunners, as he looks ideal for what they need.
Mikel Arteta bemoaned his side’s lack of creativity after their recent defeat to Aston Villa, but Coutinho’s arrival would surely help them in that regard next season.
