French outlet Le10Sport claim Alassane Plea wants to rejoin OGC Nice this summer from Borussia Monchengladbach, despite interest from Everton. The report claims that English clubs are offering more money, but he wants Nice.
Plea, 29, joined Gladbach four years ago from Nice after producing 67 goal involvements in 135 appearances. His form in Germany has been much the same if not slightly better, with 77 goals and assists in 143 games.
But the Frenchman has entered the final year of his contract. Reports this summer claim that Everton are looking at the one-time France international, with Gladbach willing to listen offers in the region of £7million for the attacker.

However, the latest claim comes from Le10. They say that Plea wants to return to Nice – who have just signed Kasper Schmeichel and Aaron Ramsey – despite bigger offers from England. It might be that one of those is from Everton.

Nice look like a strong side this season. They have a solid chance of reaching the Europa Conference League group stages, and have some big-name players on their books. Morgan Schneiderlin will be a familiar name to the Toffees.
Amine Gouiri, Dante, Kasper Dolberg are already there, along with new signings Schmeichel and Ramsey. Obviously, Plea will have a much bigger attraction to Nice given his previous spell with the club.
But this might prove to be his last chance of Premier League football. The striker seriously needs to consider his next move but it appears he would prefer to return to his birthplace of France. Everton will have to look elsewhere.
