Rangers have been linked with Kemar Roofe, with The Scottish Sun reporting this week that the Gers are looking at the Anderlecht striker.
The report claimed that Rangers have identified the former Leeds United star as a potential replacement for Alfredo Morelos.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wanted to sign Roofe last summer before he joined Anderlecht from Leeds for £7 million.
Gerrard is ready to reignite his interest in the 27-year-old should Colombian striker Morelos be sold this summer, according to the report.
However, The Herald has now claimed that Roofe is happy and content at Anderlecht despite the club finishing eighth in the league table this past season.
Stats
According to WhoScored, Roofe scored six goals in 13 Jupiler League games for Anderlecht this past season.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the 27-year-old scored 15 goals and provided two assists in the Championship for Leeds, while back in 2017-18, he scored 11 goals and provided three assists in the league, according to WhoScored.
As for Morelos, the Rangers striker scored 12 goals in the Scottish Premiership in 2019-20, according to WhoScored.
