Ignacio Pussetto is on the verge of sealing a return to Udinese just seven months after joining Watford in a £7 million deal, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
If the Argentine forward felt that a move to Vicarage Road would be the making of him, it is fair to say his spell in Hertfordshire did not exactly go to plan.
Pussetto was unveiled in that yellow and black shirt as recently as the January transfer window.
Flash forward to July, however, and Watford were tumbling through the trapdoor, relegated after five years of Premier League football.
According to reports in Italy, Pussetto’s Watford career could be over after just 67 minutes of football.
The rangy attacker did not feature in any of the club’s last six games of the season.
When you consider that Watford were crying out for results as they slipped into the bottom three, that speaks volumes about how Nigel Pearson and Hayden Mullins felt about the £7 million signing.

TMW claims that Pussetto is now set to swap one Pozzo club for another with Udinese on the verge of re-signing a player they sold earlier this year.
It remains to be seen how much of that £7 million outlay Watford will be able to recoup.
