According to Firenze Viola, Lucas Torreira will definitely leave Arsenal to join Fiorentina this summer when his season-long loan expires.
What’s the story?
Well, the Serie A side signed the £75,000-a-week Arsenal man on a season-long loan deal back in August, and he’s performed well in Italy.
Firenze Viola believe Torreira and his family have settled down in Florence, and he’s very comfortable at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.
Fiorentina agreed a €15m (£13m) option to buy when negotiating the loan deal with Arsenal, and it is said that they plan to trigger that clause.
Lastly, Firenze Viola claim that the 26-year-old is definitely going to leave the Gunners this summer and sign for Fiorentina.
So far this season, the Uruguay international has made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals while also providing one assist.
Arsenal must replace Lucas Torreira

In our view, Arsenal can’t afford to simply pocket that £13m fee and not spend it on a direct replacement for the South American.
As things stand, Mikel Arteta only has a handful of centre-midfield options at the Emirates Stadium, and he needs much more depth in that department.
Furthermore, Granit Xhaka is still open to leaving with Roma sniffing around, so the Gunners may even have to sign two central midfielders.

That goes without mentioning Mohamed Elneny, who is far from an important player at Arsenal, so Arteta may even consider replacing him as well.
Evidently, there is only one place to start for Arsenal in the transfer market this summer, and that’s the central midfield department – closely followed by the centre-forward department.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah find themselves out of contract in June, so it looks set to be a busy summer for the Gunners.
