New boss Rodgers is in the market for a new striker, reports claim
Celtic are keen on Liberia striker Sam Johnson but face competition from two European clubs, according to the Scottish Sun, as reported by the BBC Sport gossip column.
Europa League winners Sevilla and Russian giants Spartak Moscow are also said to be keen on Johnson, who plays for Swedish outfit Djurgardens.
New Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is thought to be in the market for a new centre forward, with Colin Kazim-Richards, Carlton Cole, Anthony Stokes and Stefan Scepovic all facing uncertain Parkhead futures.
Cole is one of several strikers who could be on their way out of Glasgow
And the Bhoys have been heavily linked with moves for Sunderland pair Danny Graham and Steven Fletcher in recent weeks.

But Johnson, who at 23 is considerably younger than both players, could fit the bill instead.
The powerful front man has scored seven goals in 12 Allsvenskan appearances this season – three short of his 2015 tally – having previously registered 17 strikes in 54 outings for then third tier IK Frej.
With Spartak only qualifying for next season’s Europa League, Sevilla, who are renowned for developing unheralded talents such as Johnson, are likely to pose the biggest threat to Celtic’s hopes.
