Sam Allardyce wants to return to Leeds United and become the club’s Sporting Director, according to a report.
The Sun have reported that Sam Allardyce wants to replace Victor Orta as the Leeds United Sporting Director.
‘Big Sam’ and Leeds parted company at the end of the 2022-23 Premier League season.
Allardyce was appointed the Leeds head coach for their final four Premier League games of the season.
The West Yorkshire club got relegated to the Championship.
Leeds are reportedly looking at appointing Luton Town manager Rob Edwards and Lorient manager Regis Le Bris in the summer of 2023.
The Sun have claimed that Allardyce is keen on returning to Leeds and becoming the Whites’ general manager or director of football.

Leeds United unlikely to bring back Sam Allardyce
In our view, Leeds United are unlikely to bring Sam Allardyce back to Elland Road in any capacity.
We think that Leeds will move on from the 68-year-old.
If the West Yorkshire club really wanted the former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager to stay on in any capacity, then they would have done so by now.
It is very likely that Leeds will appoint a Sporting Director who has been in a similar role at other clubs rather than get in a manager who has never worked in that capacity.
