Well, Pedro Neto to Arsenal is certainly gathering pace.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Edu had met with the Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker’s agent in an effort to bring him to North London this summer.
According to The Times, it’ll take Arsenal around £60 million to successfully lure the player away from Molineux before the transfer window shuts in eight days.
Time is very much of the essence but, fortunately for the Gunners, they have one big advantage.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Neto is ‘very keen’ on signing for Arsenal in a development which, if true, could make this process a whole lot quicker and smoother.

Pedro Neto to Arsenal
He told his Here We Go podcast: “It’s not an easy negotiation because Wolves want more than £50m. Let’s see after the outgoings what happens. One quick thing I forgot – Neto would be really tempted by Arsenal. I’m told that the player is another factor in this story. He’s not forcing anything but he would be really keen.”
As Romano pointed out, it isn’t an ‘easy negotiation’ but, by the same token, the idea that the player himself is desperate to join the buying club should, in theory, make things a little easier.
Of course, it isn’t guaranteed that Arsenal get their man because remember, Nicolas Pepe, who earns £140,000 per week, still has to leave in some capacity, freeing up a chunk of the wagebill in the process.
But at the moment, things definitely look good – and even better that Neto is seemingly up for a stint at the Emirates Stadium, too.
