Elneny is currently self-isolating on international duty, yet they say Arsenal are trying to get him clearance to feature on Sunday.
The Egyptian is set to be given a private jet by Arsenal to allow him to fly back into England.
And Football London claim ‘there is still a chance’ that Elneny could feature for Arsenal at the weekend.
If Elneny does make it back in time to play then that could be a boost to Mikel Arteta’s side.
It was assumed that Elneny wouldn’t be permitted to feature, with Arsenal even saying that he is ‘unavailable’, but the latest reports offer hope that he could be a surprise starter.
It is testament to the improvements that Elneny has made that news will now be considered a boost.
The £5 million man (BBC Sport) looked to have no future at Arsenal, but he has fought his way back in from the cold, and is currently one of the Gunners’ most in-form players.
