According to Calciomercato, Brentford striker Ivan Toney is on Everton’s radar after a stunning start to the season.
The former Newcastle striker joined the Bees from Peterborough over the summer in a £5 million deal, and has hit the ground running under Thomas Frank.
Toney has netted an impressive 13 goals in 15 Championship appearances this term – as a result, he is second in the division’s top scorer charts.
His form in England’s second tier has clearly caught Carlo Ancelotti’s eye, and some previous comments from the 24-year-old suggest he wouldn’t be lacking confidence in the Premier League.
In an interview with The Sun, Toney likened himself to Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimović, both in terms of playing style and from a mental aspect.

The Northampton-born centre-forward said: ‘I’m similar to Zlatan in both my confidence and the way I play. When he wants to do something, he just does it. I have some of that in my game and personality. And I believe I’ll be a Premier League striker.’
In our view, he would be a good signing for the Toffees.
Of course, a centre-forward isn’t a priority right now with Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the form of his life. However, some depth is definitely required at Goodison Park.

Ancelotti loaned out his two backup options in Theo Walcott and Moise Kean over the summer, leaving only Cenk Tosun to provide depth.
Toney would be a risk seeing as he’s unproven in the Premier League.
However, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins has shone since swapping Brentford for the top-flight, so perhaps the Bees No.17 is capable of doing similar.
