According to RAC1, Barcelona have now made Hansi Flick their No.1 choice to replace Ronald Koeman, after he held talks with Tottenham.

It was the Guardian who revealed that the 56-year-old had spoken to Spurs about replacing José Mourinho.

Now, however, Barcelona President Joan Laporta has also spoken to the German.

RAC1 claim that Flick values the Barcelona job, and responded positively to talks with the Spanish giants.

That is a hammer blow for Spurs, as the departing Bayern Munich boss is arguably the best option out there to replace Mourinho.

Flick has incredibly won seven trophies across the last two campaigns.

He has guided Bayern Munich to back-to-back Bundesliga titles, while also winning the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, German Super Cup and the DFB-Pokal.

RAC1 state that Flick had a verbal agreement with the German national team to replace the departing Joachim Löw.

However, nothing has been signed as of yet.

Unlike the detail provided by RAC1, the Guardian do not reveal how Flick’s talks with Tottenham went.

However, the north Londoners are surely not an attractive proposition for the German right now, in our view.

Harry Kane wants to leave, there is huge fan unrest, and Spurs might not even be playing in Europe next season.

If we had to decide between Barcelona, Germany or Tottenham, Levy’s side would probably be our last pick as things stand.

Unless Levy reaches out and makes Flick an offer he cannot refuse, we doubt we’ll be seeing him in the Premier League next term.
