According to the Independent, Pep Guardiola wants Manchester City to make a move for Jack Grealish, after the Aston Villa captain was praised by Kevin De Bruyne.
The Independent state that Guardiola and De Bruyne – who cost £55 million – were discussing the England international, with the Belgian describing Grealish as a player City must try and sign.
The report also states that Guardiola views the 25-year-old as a highly buyable player.
However, Grealish’s latest contract at Villa Park includes an agreement which states that he cannot leave the club for less than £100 million.
Guardiola might view the Villa No.10 as highly buyable, although he will not come cheap should the Spaniard manage to get the attacking midfielder to Manchester.
The ex-Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss is looking to revamp his side having recently signed a new contract at the Etihad Stadium.
The Independent mention that City are currently the side most intent on signing Grealish, with many close to the player feeling it’s only a matter of time until he joins a traditional top six outfit.

The Villa academy graduate has already scored five goals and recorded six assists in just nine appearances so far this season.
