Former Fulham and Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic would welcome the opportunity to replace Chris Wilder at the Premier League’s bottom club Sheffield United, according to a report by the Sheffield Star.
While nothing has been confirmed, it’s safe to assume the Blades have been planning for life back in the Championship for some time.
And if the Steel City side want to ‘do a Norwich’ and bounce back at the first time of asking, you can see why they’ve made Jokanovic one of the top candidates to replace Wilder at Bramall Lane.
The softly spoken Serb guided Watford out of the second tier in 2015 after all before repeating the trick with Fulham three years later.
If Sheffield United manage to hang on to key players such as Sander Berge, John Fleck, George Baldock and Aaron Ramsdale, it would be no surprise to see Jokanovic add a third promotion to his already impressive CV in 2022.

Jokanovic is currently under contract at Qatari outfit Al-Gharafa.
But, according to the Star, the one-time Chelsea defender would be tempted to return to England if Sheffield United turned their interest into a formal offer.
Swansea City boss Steve Cooper and Oxford United’s Karl Robinson have also been linked with the Blades job.
