Leicester City central defender Wesley Fofana is open to a move to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea amid interest from Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, according to 90min.

90min have reported that Fofana is open to joining Chelsea in the summer transfer window if the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners can agree on a fee with his club Leicester.

The Foxes want more than £80 million for the £51,000-a-week Frenchman (SalarySport), and talks are going on between them and Chelsea.

Fofana’s stance on Chelsea will come as a blow to Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to L’Equipe, defender Premier League champions City and last season’s Ligue 1 winners PSG both are keen on securing the services of the 21-year-old in the summer transfer window.

Could Manchester City target Wesley Fofana join Chelsea?

In our view, Chelsea could be able to sign Manchester City target Wesley Fofana from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

Yes, the Foxes are looking for over £80 million and Chelsea may not be willing to pay it straightaway, but we know that the Blues are desperate to sign centre-backs and will eventually pay big for one.

Fofana has been on the books of Leicester since 2020 and has made 35 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
