Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt reportedly wants to move on this summer.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt wants to leave this summer after seeing teammate Justin Kluivert sign for Roma.
Ajax tend to lose top players every summer, as seen with the exits of Davinson Sanchez and Davy Klaassen last summer, and more are expected this term.
Hakim Ziyech is widely expected to move on after a scintillating season, whilst winger Justin Kluivert completed his move away from the Amsterdam Arena this week.

The 19-year-old wide man has sealed his move to Italy, and whilst that was already enough of a blow for Ajax, his move away could spark departures for other Ajax talents.
Mundo Deportivo report that midfielder Frenkie de Jong is closing in on a move to Barcelona, whilst defender Matthijs de Ligt is also thought to be keen on leaving this summer.
De Ligt, 18, has become arguably the most in-demand teenager in Europe having excelled in the heart of the Ajax defence, with the world’s biggest clubs all pursuing his signature.

In April, Football.London reported that Tottenham want to land De Ligt in a £50million swoop this summer, given concerns over the future of Toby Alderweireld – ironically, a former Ajax defender.
The latest reports about De Ligt’s desire to leave Ajax should give Tottenham a boost in their pursuit, but with huge clubs rivalling them, they may need to move quickly to secure the teenage centre back.
