Jurrien Timber has been linked with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United, but the Ajax defender reportedly wants to move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Football Transfers have reported that Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool all are interested in signing Jurrien Timber from Ajax in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Arsenal started negotiations for the 22-year-old Netherlands international defender after learning that Liverpool and United were stepping up their interest in him.
Arsenal’s bid of £30 million for Timber has been turned down, with Ajax looking for £50 million for the youngster, according to Football Transfers, who have added that the defender is “pushing” his club “for a move to” the Gunners.
Arsenal over Liverpool for Jurrien Timber
In our view, Arsenal are now likely to beat Liverpool to the signing of Jurrien Timber from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

While the Reds are interested in the 22-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back or as a right-back, Arsenal are clearly more determined to sign him.
After all, the North London club have already made a bid for Timber.
We believe that Timber could flourish at Arsenal.
The Netherlands international is only 22, and he has already got a lot of experience playing for Ajax in the Eredivisie and in the Premier League.
The Ajax no. 2 scored two goals and gave two assists in 34 Eredivisie matches last season.
Timber also made six appearances in the UEFA Champions League and played twice in the UEFA Europa League for Ajax last season.
