Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca will reportedly leave for Real Betis.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Betis are interested in signing Marc Roca from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that Roca has decided to leave Leeds and join La Liga club Betis on a loan deal.

The loan exit of the £50,000-a-week (Spotrac) midfielder from Elland Road is “imminent”, according to the report.

Leeds have reportedly given their approval for Roca’s loan move.

The West Yorkshire club will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

Basis finished sixth in the La Liga table this past campaign and will play in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League next season.

Marc Roca’s Leeds United exit almost inevitable

In our view, it was almost inevitable that Marc Roca was going to leave Leeds United either on loan or on a permanent basis once they went down to the Championship.

There was no way that the 26-year-old was going play in the second tier of English football after turning out for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and Espanyol in La Liga.

It would have been a step-down for the Spaniard.

Roca moved to Leeds from Bayern in the summer of 2022.

The midfielder made 29 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds this past season.

Roca scored one goal and gave two assists in those matches.
