According to The Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino will urge Manchester United to sign Harry Kane if he’s appointed as the Old Trafford outfit’s next manager.

Manchester United still don’t have a permanent boss after the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but it seems as though their hunt for a new gaffer is ramping up.

Pochettino has been strongly linked with the post for some time, and it seems as though he’s already making plans for what he’d like to do if he becomes the Red Devils’ next manager.

The Telegraph claim that the 49-year-old is eyeing up a reunion with Harry Kane if he returns to the Premier League with Manchester United.

It’s not surprising to hear that Pochettino wants United to have a look at Kane. After all, he was one of his most important players when he was the Spurs boss.

Of course, Kane’s form has dipped this season, but he’s still got bags of talent, being described as ‘amazing’ by his teammate Dejan Kulusevski just this week.

Whether or not Kane would be open to the move is another matter entirely. The Spurs striker is reportedly now very happy at the club, and there’s even been talk of him signing a new contract.

However, as we all know, Kane wanted to leave Spurs last summer in pursuit of silverware, but if it’s trophies that he wants, it’s hard to make an argument for Manchester United being the best destination for him. After all, they’ve not won anything for almost five years at this point.

This looks to be a situation worth keeping an eye on.
