According to Kicker, Jae-sung Lee is open to a move to the Premier League after Crystal Palace tried to sign him in January.
The 49-cap South Korea international finds himself out of contract in June, and the Eagles tried to land him ahead of its expiry during the winter.
However, Kiel – who play in the German second division – rebuffed Palace’s advances.
Now, the 28-year-old is being targeted by TSG Hoffenheim, but Kicker stress that he’s keen to keep the option of a move to England open.
Kicker describe the Ulsan-born maestro as someone who could help solve TSG Hoffenheim’s creative deficits in the final third – Palace are also a side who tend to struggle when breaking down the opposition.
Kicker add that Lee knows how to ‘accelerate’ the game in the attacking third with precise passing, and can ‘initiate’ goalscoring chances.

Now, you may be wondering why Palace are monitoring players in 2. Bundesliga – German’s second division.
However, one photo of Lee shows him taking on Armel Bella-Kotchap, who The Athletic – an extremely reliable source – said Palace were looking at in the summer.

In that respect, perhaps Kicker‘s news has some credibility, as Palace have clearly been eyeing this division.
Either way, with his contract running out in June, something has to happen regarding Lee’s future soon – watch this space.
