According to RMC Sport, Boubacar Kamara has left Marseille furious after he failed to show up for a press conference, amid interest from Newcastle.
What’s the story?
Well, it looks like Newcastle now have a great chance of signing the £46,000-a-week man after this fresh development.
RMC Sport believe Kamara and Marseille’s relationship became fractured when they tried to sell him over the summer, as they were in need of cash.
The 22-year-old’s contract expires in June, and he has ignored three offers of a new deal from the Ligue 1 outfit.
Now, the latest episode in this drama came when Kamara failed to show up for his media duties, with Marseille now becoming impatient.
It comes after La Lazio Siamo Noi revealed that the Frenchman has an offer on the table from Newcastle.
Do Newcastle need Boubacar Kamara?

Newcastle find themselves facing the very real threat of relegation this season, and in a situation like that, you need big characters.
What Eddie Howe doesn’t need is a 21-year-old with behavioural issues, who could end up making Newcastle’s task more difficult.
Of course, we may not know all the details, but in our eyes, Kamara has made a mountain out of a molehill.

Surely he can understand why Marseille wanted to sell him. He is soon to be out of contract, so they opted to make some money rather than lose him for nothing – it surely wasn’t anything personal.
Now, Kamara has just put a huge question mark over his head for those who are interested in him – clubs will surely be judging his character.
Will Newcastle take the plunge regardless? Only time will tell.
