Thomas Partey wants a move to Arsenal over PSG, according to Ghana Soccer Net.
Arsenal have been chasing Partey for much of the summer so far, with the Atletico Madrid midfielder said to be at the top of Mikel Arteta’s wishlist.
And it seems that Partey now has his heart set on a move to the Emirates.
Indeed, even though French league leaders PSG have entered the race for his signature, Arsenal are still believed to be the club he wants to join.
Partey has apparently informed advisors that he wants to play for the Gunners next season.
Whether Arsenal can afford Partey now remains to be seen, as Atleti are said to want £45 million for the defensive midfielder (Telegraph).
But if Arsenal could pull off the signing he could be just the type of player that Arteta needs.
Partey would offer Arsenal a disciplined and strong presence to add to their midfield, and they have been desperately lacking a player of his kind for many years now.
