According to the Daily Mail, RB Leipzig maestro Marcel Sabitzer has emerged as a January transfer target for Tottenham.
The Daily Mail state that the £45 million-rated Austria international is in Jose Mourinho’s sights this winter.
It is mentioned that Sabitzer could help ease the goalscoring burden on Harry Kane and Heung-min Son from midfield, and we certainly believe he’s capable of doing that.
The 26-year-old has three goals and three assists in all competitions this term, following a phenomenal campaign last season.
Sabitzer scored an eye-catching 16 goals from midfield last term, while also assisting 11 more in what was a fantastic individual season for the box-to-box midfielder.

RB Leipzig’s No.7 would offer Mourinho a unique midfield option, who would nicely compliment the likes of Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele.
What type of player is Sabitzer, you might ask?
Well, the Bundesliga‘s official website saw fit to compare him to David Beckham, of all people!

The Bundesliga mention that Sabitzer’s expert dead-ball deliveries, and knack of getting on the scoresheet, make him similar to the Manchester United and England icon.
If the Daily Mail‘s report is true, the Austrian must have something special. After all, Mourinho already has a number of midfield options such as Sissoko, Ndombele, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli and Gedson Fernandes.
If he’s chasing another in Sabitzer, then the RB Leipzig maestro must be worth it.
