Brighton and Hove Albion left-back Marc Cucurella wants to join Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and not Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea or Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Athletic.
Marc Cucurella wants Manchester City, not Chelsea or Tottenham
The Athletic have reported that Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in signing Cucurella from Premier League rivals Brighton n the summer transfer window.
Premier League champions City will reportedly open talks with the Seagulls in the coming days over the transfer of the Spanish full-back.
Chelsea are interested as well in Cucurella, who is ‘is intent on joining’ City and playing under Guardiola because that ‘would elevate his game to the next level’, according to the report.
The Sun reported on May 26 interest from Chelsea, City and Tottenham in Cucurella.
The report claimed that Brighton want at least £45 million for the 23-year-old Spain international left-back

Understandable stance
We can understand why Marc Cucurella would want to join Manchester City ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
City play arguably the best football in the world and also have an all-time great manager in Pep Guardiola.
We have seen how players have taken their game to another level under Guardiola, and Cucurella is right to think that he would get better under the former Barcelona boss.
