According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal target Thomas Partey wants to remain at Atletico Madrid on increased wages amid speculation over his future.
The Ghana international has been heavily linked with a summer exit.
Arsenal reportedly have a strong interest in the player, with the Telegraph claiming last month how Partey would be interested in a move to the Emirates.

The midfielder has a £45 million release clause in his contract.
Partey’s father, Jacob Partey, added to the speculation suggesting his son will join Arsenal.
But the latest reports from Mundo Deportivo claim Partey’s desire is to remain in Madrid.
The Spanish editorial claim the 26-year-old is a low earner in Atletico Madrid’s squad. He wants to remain with Los Colchoneros, but with comparable wages to the club’s better players.
Football returns to Spain this week following the Covid-19 suspension.
Partey had been in excellent form prior to the break, helping Atleti dump Liverpool out of the Champions League with a 4-2 aggregate win.
It remains to be seen how teams like Atleti will fare following the financial implications. After all, the La Liga giants are paying off their superb new stadium.
Partey’s £45 million release clause appears to be a modest sum in today’s market.
But if Arsenal harbour hopes of signing the midfielder, then the Gunners must surely act quickly with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain also cited as suitors.
