According to The Telegraph, Matt Ritchie has been frustrated at Newcastle for months under Steve Bruce’s management.
The report claims that Newcastle’s £45,000-a-week man tried to leave St James’ Park in January so he could rejoin his former side Bournemouth.
Bruce was initially happy to let him go.
However, after a lack of January arrivals, the ex-Sunderland boss told the Scotland international that he would have to wait until the summer.
The Telegraph released this news within their in-depth article on the training ground bust up between the 31-year-old and Bruce.
After Ruben Neves netted a late equaliser on Saturday, the 60-year-old blamed Ritchie for failing to pass on his instructions properly.

Bruce then asked to see the Scot in his office, but Newcastle’s No.11 refused to leave the training pitch and described his boss as a ‘coward’.
This led to Bruce confronting Ritchie, before the player backed down and apologised according to The Telegraph.
With Newcastle just three points above the relegation zone, this is not the time for a civil war to commence.

Whatever differences Bruce and his players have need to be put aside for the greater good of the club.
A side of Newcastle’s stature simply should not be getting relegated, and it’s down to everyone at the club to ensure that doesn’t happen.
