Eduardo Camavinga has told Rennes that he will not sign a new contract with them amid rumours Arsenal want to sign him, according to a report on RMC Sport.
Le 10 Sport say that Arsenal are keen to sign the French midfielder, who is regarded as one of the top prospects in European football.
Despite still only being 18, Camavinga is experienced in Ligue 1 football and also is capped by France’s full international side.
His growing reputation seems to have convinced him that leaving Rennes is his best option, although the bad news for Arsenal is that they don’t appear to be his first choice club to join.
RMC say that Camavinga wants to sign for PSG, although Mauricio Pochettino’s side are yet to make a move.
That may give Arsenal a window of opportunity if they move quickly.

Rennes will surely have to sell Camavinga this summer now, given that he won’t sign a new contract, with a valuation of £43 million placed on him (Le10).
The youngster only has two years left on his deal and their bargaining position only weakens as he gets closer to the end of his contract.
If Arsenal were to sign Camavinga he certainly would be an eye catching addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Arsenal already have some hugely exciting prospects at the Emirates Stadium, including the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.
Camavinga would be another to add to that collection, and there could be a space in Arsenal’s starting line-up for him.
The Gunners clearly need to find a partner for Thomas Partey in midfield and, if they can finance a deal, there looks to be few better long-term options than Camavinga.
