According to FotoMaç, Ezgjan Alioski has signed a contract with Galatasaray with his contract at Elland Road set to expire in weeks.
The Turkish news outlet claim that the 29-year-old rejected a contract offer from Leeds, because they weren’t offering him enough money.
Contrastingly, Alioski is satisfied with the terms being offered by Galatasaray, and looks set to move to the Süper Lig.
However, he doesn’t want the club to announce it until he has closed the door behind him at Elland Road.
Why?
Well, according to FotoMaç, Alioski is fearful of receiving backlash from the Leeds fans for his decision.
Not just for the fact he’s agreed to sign for another side while under contract with Leeds, but because of the club’s bad blood with Galatasaray.

Back in 2000, as Leeds prepared to face the Turkish giants in the UEFA Cup semi-final, violence broke out.
Tragically, two Leeds fans were stabbed to death.
Incredibly, even after that, ex-Leeds man Harry Kewell decided to join Galatasaray after he left Liverpool, effectively burning his bridges with Leeds and the club’s supporters in the process.

The 41-cap North Macedonia international is clearly fearful of receiving the same treatment, it seems.
The £2 million man surely knows what he’s getting himself into, seeing as he’s asked for the official announcement to be delayed.
If this is true, we doubt Alioski will be welcome back in Leeds anytime soon.
