Ismaila Sarr is once again on Liverpool’s radar, according to a report.
The Watford winger has been often linked with a move to Anfield over the past couple of years.
And according to 90 Min, the Senegalese attacker is once again courting interest from the Premier League giants.
The report adds that Sarr himself is keen on a move to Liverpool.
But there’s conflicting information coming from the Watford Observer, which claims that the newly-promoted Premier League side are unaware of any interest from Jurgen Klopp or anyone on Merseyside, with no ‘serious or formal approach’ forthcoming.
The newspaper also claims that that if the 23-year-old wants to join Liverpool, he will have to ‘push’ for one.
Mane
This might light a fire under his international colleague Sadio Mane.
The former Southampton star has been among Liverpool’s most electric players since arriving in 2016.
But 16 goals in all competitions was a poor return for a player of Mane’s quality last season and maybe, just maybe, the added competition from Sarr could be instrumental in helping the former get his groove back.
It’d take a brave man to write off Mane – who has 97 goals in 218 games for the Reds – but he needs incentive to get back to his best.
And maybe Sarr could provide that.
