Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly desperate to leave the club this summer and return to Inter Milan, with Tottenham also chasing the attacker.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Belgian international is eager to return to Italy after a nightmare return to Chelsea last year, with Lukaku reportedly at ‘rock bottom’ over his relationship with the club and manager Thomas Tuchel.
As per the report, Lukaku is eyeing a return to Inter where the striker enjoyed some of the best football of his career and won the Serie A title under Antonio Conte, who according to Eurosport, wants to sign the forward for Tottenham in the summer.
With the Italian’s own future at Spurs up in the air, it appears that a return to Inter is on the cards for Lukaku, who joined Chelsea in the summer for a club-record £97.5m according to BBC Sport, with the forward earning £350,000-a-week with the west London club.
Form has been hard to come by for Lukaku, and barely even a full season in his return to Chelsea, the former Manchester United man is set on returning to Inter, which could be a huge blow for Tottenham.
After all, the striker would have been incredible for the north London side and an ideal replacement for Harry Kane if the striker left during the summer. Yet with Lukaku having eyes only on Inter, Tottenham could be about to miss out on the 28-year-old.
Inter look strong favourites to land Lukaku barring Tottenham miracle

Lukaku has already come under fire this season from Chelsea supporters for comments on his love for Inter and his relationship with the club, and following this latest report from Italy, the striker could well be on his way back to Serie A.
Indeed, the transfer has been nothing but a failure for Chelsea, and unless Tottenham can come up with a miracle, Lukaku looks all but certain to return to Inter to continue his love affair with the Italian giants.
