According to The Sun, Barcelona are now interested in signing Romain Saiss, after the 32-year-old left Wolves.
What’s the story?
Well, the Morocco international decided to leave Wolves after six years of service at Molineux, following a move from Angers in 2016.
Saiss made 32 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring three goals, but he decided to leave the Midlands in search of pastures new, not because of a lack of game time.
Now, he could make quite a significant step up, as Barcelona have expressed an interest.
The Sun believe Saiss is on the radar of Xavi, who has already pounced on a few free transfers this summer such as Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie.
Barcelona are struggling financially, so a move for the Moroccan on a free transfer would certainly make sense.
If a deal does materialise, we hope Saiss performs better at the Camp Nou than Adama Traore, who has now returned to Molineux after failing to impress in Catalonia.
The Spain international could immediately be off once again, however, as Leeds eye a move for the rapid winger.
How can Barcelona sign Romain Saiss after Wolves exit?

In all honesty, The Sun’s report has confused us.
Why? Well, Saiss has already found a new club, having agreed to join Besiktas on a contract until June 2024.
However, The Sun’s report suggests that he remains a free agent, with Barcelona eyeing him up on a free transfer, so it seems someone hasn’t realised the centre-back has moved to Turkey already.

Of course, Saiss can still make another move this summer, but Besiktas have now tied him down to a contract, so he is no longer available for nothing – the Turkish giants can demand whatever sum they like.
It is certainly a confusing bit of news from The Sun, to say the least.
