According to Solo La Lazio, the agent of Lazio’s Joaquín Correa has made contact with Arsenal and Everton.
What’s the story?
Well, the Italian news outlet believe that the 26-year-old representatives are in discussions with clubs from the Premier League.
Solo La Lazio write that Arsenal are fascinated by the 5-cap Argentina international’s potential.
However, the Gunners don’t want to spend over €20 million (£17 million) on the South American, not even taking add-ons into account.
That could prove problematic, as Lazio want €35 million (£30 million) for their No.11, who just enjoyed an impressive 2020/21 campaign.
In 38 appearances for Lazio, playing mainly as a second striker, Correa scored 11 goals and provided six assists, which is pretty good going.
Interestingly, Solo La Lazio mention that Maurizio Sarri – who has just been hired – is a fan of Correa.

However, Lazio seem to have accounted for Correa’s departure by already adding the expected funds to Sarri’s budget.
If Arsenal are to sign the Argentine, they face a significant competitor.
Jürgen Klopp wants Correa at Liverpool
According to Il Messaggero, Liverpool are also keen on the Lazio attacker, and Jürgen Klopp has been following his progress closely.
Liverpool – with Sporting Director Michael Edwards on their side – rarely make blunders in the transfer market nowadays.

In that respect, Arsenal and Everton should take encouragement from the fact Liverpool are interested in Correa, as it shows they’ve identified a solid target.
However, if it came down to a three-way race, the forward would surely pick Liverpool, as they can offer him Champions League football.
