Tottenham Hotspur have made progress in their talks with Bournemouth striker Joshua King, the Chronicle report.
King’s agent, Jim Solbakken, apparently flew to London in the week to discuss terms with Tottenham representatives.
Spurs are yet to agree a fee with Bournemouth for the striker, but the Chronicle suggest that Jose Mourinho’s side are pushing ahead in the hope of landing him.
Newcastle United also want King and the Chronicle insist that his move to Spurs is far from a done deal.
However, Tottenham are surely leading the race for the rapid front-man, now that they have moved to hold talks with his agent.
If King was to arrive at Spurs he could be a smart addition, as he would offer an impressive alternative to Harry Kane.

King is fast and could be a hugely dangerous asset to have against tiring defences, if Spurs need a difference maker late on.
The Norwegian is very experienced in the Premier League, and should take little time to adapt after the move.
It is said by the Express that Bournemouth want £30 million for King, which would make him Spurs’s most expensive purchase of the summer so far.
