Newcastle United defender DeAndre Yedlin has agreed a move to Galatasaray and will be heading out of the Premier League when his contract expires in the summer, as reported by The Express.
After five years and more than 100 appearances for the Tyneside giants, it seems the USA international is set to depart under a cloud.
Yedlin will become a free agent in a matter of months and, speaking to CBS this month, the long-serving defender admitted he was growing frustrated by the lack of dialogue from his club.
Yedlin said he had been left in the dark about whether or not he had a future at the Premier League strugglers. So you can understand why the former Sunderland flyer grew restless.
“There has been no clarity. My agent has reached out to people at Newcastle and they’ve responded saying, ‘yes, we’ll call you’ and there are no calls back. That has been quite frustrating,” £30,000-a-week Yedlin explained.
ESPN reports Yedlin’s visa has expired, forcing him to miss the defeats to Aston Villa and Leeds United this week.

And with the Washington-born right-back agreeing a three-year deal with 22-time Turkish league champions Galatasaray, it remains to be seen whether he pulls on those famous black-and-white stripes again.
Javi Manquillo and Jacob Murphy recently slotted into the starting XI in Yedlin’s absence.
