The Guardian claim Christian Eriksen has opted to reject Manchester United this summer, with the Dane preferring a move to Tottenham or remaining at Brentford this summer. He is out of contract at the end of the month.
Eriksen, 30, returned to football following his cardiac arrest, joining Brentford in January on a free from Inter Milan. He starred for the Bees, helping them avoid a relegation dogfight and secure mid-table obscurity.

Since then, the 115-time Denmark international has been strongly linked with a number of Premier League clubs. Either remaining at Brentford, returning to Tottenham after two and a half years, or Manchester United.
Now, Eriksen has made the first of many decisions. The report from The Guardian claims that Eriksen has chosen to turn down Erik Ten Hag – preferring a return to Spurs, or to remain at Brentford, allowing him to stay in London.
Eriksen has opted to reject Manchester United
Eriksen would have been a superb signing for United. The Old Trafford club have just lost Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard with their contracts ending – so Eriksen would have been a good replacement.
However, it has been regularly stated that he prefers to stay in London. Perhaps then, a move to Manchester United was not always on the cards – but the lure of a big club like United, and Ten Hag might have been tempting.
But now, it has been made clear. Eriksen has chosen not to join United, handing a boost to both Spurs and Brentford – and any other clubs that want him – in their pursuit of the former Ajax midfielder.
