It is now down to the Toffees to agree a fee with Napoli, and it was claimed in Calcio Napoli 24 last week that the two clubs were close to agreeing a £30.5 million deal.
If Allan was to move to Everton he could be an ideal solution to Ancelotti’s big problem right now.
While Allan may not have much re-sale value, Everton are in desperate need of a midfielder of his quality, and his arrival should really strengthen them in the short-term.
Allan will provide energy and tenacity in Everton’s midfield, and he should also give Ancelotti’s side far more quality on the ball.
It seems likely that he will partner Andre Gomes in the heart of Everton’s team if he does arrive, and that pairing seems a big upgrade on what Ancelotti had to pick from last term.
