According to ESPN, Willian is already planning to leave Corinthians, just months after leaving Arsenal in September 2021.
What’s the story?
Well, unfortunately, the Brazil international has been the subject of threats after Corinthians suffered defeat to Always Ready in the Copa Libertadores.
ESPN believe Willian’s daughters are afraid to go to school, while the £29,000-a-week man’s wife prefers not to leave the house.
It’s very upsetting to hear, and the situation is arguably made even more sad by the fact the former Chelsea man actually wants to stay at Corinthians.
Willian hopes that no more threats are made, but nevertheless, he has stopped travelling to training alone, and now has a security guard to assist him.
As a result, he is exploring the possibility of leaving, but would ideally like to stay at Corinthians if the situation eases.
Willian should be remembered fondly at Arsenal

Despite Willian’s struggles at Arsenal, everybody at the Emirates Stadium should feel sympathy towards the 33-year-old’s awful situation.
Of course, he may have alienated a few Arsenal supporters with his poor displays, but overall, he should be remembered fondly for one reason.
According to Sky Sports, the South American saved the Gunners £20.5m after terminating his £240,000-a-week contract, instead of asking for a pay off, or staying.

His gesture is said to have amazed the Arsenal Boardroom, and that money surely helped to fund the arrivals of key signings such as Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White.
If Arsenal qualify for the Champions League this season, then they owe some gratitude to Willian for saving the club money at a delicate time.
