Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim Atalanta star Ruslan Malinovskyi is ‘dreaming’ of a move to Tottenham but Spurs have direct competition from West Ham – with the Hammers re-opening talks in ‘recent weeks’ to lure him to London.
Malinovskyi, 29, has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League this month. The Ukraine star’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season. A bit-part player for Atalanta, he is likely to be sold by the Serie A club.
Indeed, Atalanta would rather bring in a fee for Malinovskyi, rather than lose him on a free transfer. Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for the playmaker, as they look to improve their options in the final third under Conte.
But the latest report claims that West Ham have re-opened talks to sign Malinovskyi this month. That is despite the star dreaming of a move to link up with Antonio Conte’s side. Corriere Di Bergamo say Spurs have made a £13million bid.

Malinovskyi dreaming of Tottenham move but West Ham re-open talks
David Moyes has already made it clear that it is unlikely West Ham make any signings this month. The Hammers spent big in the summer, spending around £150million on new talent. The Londoners needed to, with European competition.
But, they are still yet to gel and are struggling in the Premier League. A loss to Brentford might have convinced Moyes to have another look in the window. Malinovskyi is the kind of player that can create something out of nothing.
Tottenham are in need of it, too. A 2-0 loss to Aston Villa on Sunday will have highlighted the need to sign a player that can cover Dejan Kulusevski, when the Swede is unavailable. At £13million, he is a bargain and a move is likely.
