According to Estadio Deportivo, Real Betis defender Aïssa Mandi has laid out his demands amid interest from the Premier League.
The 59-cap Algeria international’s contract with the Spanish side expires in June.
As mentioned by Estadio Deportivo, Liverpool are especially keen to sign the 29-year-old.
Elsewhere, Eldesmarque wrote that West Ham were interested in obtaining the centre-back.
If either the Merseysiders or the east Londoners are to sign him, Estadio Deportivo state that Mandi wants €2 million-a-year (£1.6 million-a-year) to join an ambitious European project.
That works out at £32,692-a-week, which you wouldn’t expect to be too much for secure Premier League clubs like Liverpool and West Ham.
Estadio Deportivo add that Mandi would like a medium to long term contract wherever he ends up.
One thing’s for certain – he’s definitely laid out his demands clearly for any side interested in signing him!
Financially, in our view, both West Ham and Liverpool should be okay with his demands despite the impact of the pandemic.
Furthermore, with West Ham currently sat fifth, they can offer the defender his wish to be part of an ambitious side.
In Liverpool’s case, their pull factor doesn’t need any jazzing up, especially with arguably Europe’s best coach at the helm in Jürgen Klopp.
