According to PA News Agency, Christian Benteke wants to stay and fight for his place under Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace.
This news comes amid a report from DH Net which states that Tottenham were looking at signing the Belgian striker to help provide cover for Harry Kane.
It is also said by PA News Agency that the ex-Liverpool man isn’t interested in a move abroad, which offers some slight hope for a domestic move still happening if Hodgson decides against handing him an opportunity.
Benteke has struggled for goals in recent years.

Significantly, the south Londoners have moved to sign Benteke’s international teammate Michy Batshuayi, pushing the Tottenham target further down the pecking order.

However, since DH Net revealed Jose Mourinho’s interested in Benteke, Spurs have struck a deal with Benfica for Carlos Vinicius.
According to The Evening Standard, the Brazilian will initially join on loan with Tottenham having an option-to-buy included in the deal.
In that respect, maybe the Crystal Palace No.20 is no longer in their sights, which is convenient given his intentions to stay at Selhurst Park.
