Lucas Torreira’s move away from Arsenal to Fiorentina has slowed now, despite his desire to move away, Alfredo Pedulla report.

Torreira has been heavily linked with an Arsenal exit this summer, and the Uruguayan is now eyeing up a return to Italy.

However, his options may be limited, as Fiorentina are struggling to tie up a deal with the Gunners.

La Viola were thought to be leading the race for the wantaway Arsenal man, but they now believe that they have enough cover in central midfield.

Thankfully for Torreira, Torino are also keen in acquiring his services, but whether they will be able to afford Arsenal’s asking price remains to be seen.

Firenze Viola say that Arsenal want £27 million for the combative midfielder, which could take him far beyond Torino’s price-range.

Mikel Arteta is likely to be hoping that he can get Torreira off his books sooner rather than later, as he looks to raise funds though.

Torreira appears to have little chance of claiming a starting place at Arsenal next term, and his sale could help the Gunners in their bid to raise funds for new recruits.
