There’s a lot of Arsenal transfer news around at the moment.
However, the vast majority of it centres around incomings, with Gabriel Jesus set to become the Gunners’ fourth signing of the summer next week.
But there’s also a lot of players who need to leave Arsenal and Hector Bellerin’s future has been written about in Spain.
The 27-year-old spent the 2021-22 campaign on loan at Real Betis and according to Estadio Deportivo, the player himself has told ‘everyone’ in North London that he doesn’t want to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
The report has added that Villarreal are a potential rival for Betis to sign him permanently.
That would see Bellerin reunited with Unai Emery, the Arsenal manager before Mikel Arteta.
Bellerin played in a behind-closed-doors friendly for the Gunners on Saturday as Arteta’s side beat Ipswich Town.
However, it seems unlikely that he’ll be playing competitive games for Arsenal again anytime soon.
That’s because not only does Bellerin reportedly want to leave the club, but Arteta, who loaned him out last summer, clearly doesn’t rate the Spain international all highly.
Takehiro Tomiyasu had a brilliant first season as Arsenal’s right-back last term and a permanent transfer for Bellerin seems very probable.
