According to L’Interista, Atalanta’s Robin Gosens is now very close to joining Leicester, despite Pep Guardiola’s desire to bring him to Manchester City.
The Italian news outlet states that the 26-year-old is closing in on a move to the King Power Stadium, but no ‘last word’ has been given as of yet.
It was Tutto Mercato Web who revealed that Pep Guardiola wanted the 4-cap Germany international at Manchester City.
They claimed that the Citizens were willing to sell Oleksandr Zinchenko, and make a move for Gosens.
Now, however, they look likely to lose out to Brendan Rodgers.
However, Rodgers could miss out himself.

How? Well, L’Interista add that Gosens himself would like to remain in Italy, and join Inter Milan or Juventus.
It is also said that the starting price for his services is €30 million (£26 million).
In that respect, it looks like Leicester have a bit more work to do until they can get that ‘last word’ confirmation on the deal.

Whoever signs Gosens will be getting a fine player.
The versatile, Emmerich-born winger has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season, while also recording eight assists.
Keep an eye on this transfer saga, as it seems there is plenty of competition for the German’s signature.
