According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma could be about to make a massive loss on Pau Lopez, who is a transfer target for Tottenham and West Ham.

Gazzetta dello Sport confirm the Premier League duo’s interest in their report, as well as the admiring glance of Valencia and Bayer Leverkusen.

The Italian news outlet state that Roma would struggle to make between €12 million – €15 million (£10.7 million – £13.4 million) for the shot-stopper, if they were to sell.

Alarmingly, that is less than half of the €30 million (£26.7 million) fee they paid to Real Betis to sign the Spain international.

Incredibly, his form has suffered so drastically in Rome, that he’s gone from being worth nearly £30 million, to now being worth just over £10 million.

While that is terrible news for Roma, it is fantastic news for Tottenham and West Ham.

Gazzetta dello Sport confirm that no approaches have been made for the 26-year-old yet, despite the aforementioned interest from four clubs.

In Tottenham and West Ham’s case, this would be too good an opportunity to ignore.

Lopez was among the most highly-rated glovesman in Europe not too long ago, a point reinforced by Roma’s willingness to splash such a significant fee on him.

Admittedly, he may have suffered a drop in form since then.

However, if a 26-year-old with plenty of time left on his side is available for such a low price, the two London clubs would be silly not to get involved.

Not to mention Lopez is a goalkeeper, so he has even more time on his side than an outfield player would.
