According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are almost certain to sanction a loan move for Ryan Sessegnon should they land Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilon.
The left-back – who Manchester United also eyed – is reportedly in advanced talks with Spurs over a move, having been made aware of Jose Mourinho’s desperation to work with him.
Should that move come to fruition, then it looks likely that Sessegnon will depart on loan.
The 20-year-old joined Tottenham for £25 million from Fulham last summer, but made just 12 appearances in all competitions.

Sessegnon has been strongly compared to Gareth Bale in the past. The left-back – who can also operate on the left-wing – said that the comparisons are a confidence boost and that he looked up to the Welshman.
Coincidentally, the England U21 man could be departing just as his idol arrives.
The Daily Mail add that Tottenham are confident of securing their former superstar, with Real Madrid paying 50% of his wages.
Sessegnon’s time in north London has been underwhelming so far.

However, a loan move would surely do the huge prospect some good.
He is a remarkably talented youngster who netted 16 Championship goals in 2017/18, at an age where he couldn’t even legally buy himself an alcoholic drink.
A first-team option in Reguilon is definitely needed to compete with Ben Davies. However, Sessegnon definitely shouldn’t be forgotten about.
